Hammers

Hammers come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and weights but to get started in metal art a really great 32 ounce ball peen hammer is all you need! If you're teaching a younger metal artist an 8 ounce ball peen is perfect! Used in both welded art and sculpted art.

Vices & Clamps

You will need at least one good C clamp or vise-grip clamp or 6" or bigger vise to hold your parts and material safely while you cut and grind. Used in both welded art and sculpted art.

Chisels

A straight chisel is used to clean weld spatter from projects. You shouldn't need this if you are TIG welding! Used in both welded art and sculpted art.

Wire Brushes

I used a small and a large wire brush an a regular basis to clean weld discoloration from my work. Used in both welded art and sculpted art.
